Thornton Hall & Spa The warm welcome at Thornton Hall is always great and I always look forward to an overnight to relax . The bedrooms are fabulous and have every modern facility, coffee machine a selection of lovely teas etc. the bathroom has a huge bath with great toiletries and cosy towels. The Brasserie lunch menu is really interesting so I chose tuna salad, the tuna was beautifully cooked rare and came nicely presented. Aimee & Nathan the Young staff were so attentive.I then took myself to the tranquillity suite which was fabulous, tinkly music and delicious aromatherapy perfume ,It made me fall asleep! I then returned to the Brasserie in the evening to try the tapas.....it was transformed into a Bistro and the menu was so varied It was hard to decide.So...... I chose shin of beef with broad beans and it melted in my mouth, smoked chicken with quinoa was delicious & grilled red mullet with chorizo which was so tasty. Breakfast is sooo civilised in The Lawns Restaurant I chose smoked haddock topped with poached egg. Music is in the background and the staff are so efficient. Before I left I had a pedicure in "The Lodge" which was in the grounds and I was driven there in a buggy. My therapist was Nickola who was so interesting to talk to. All the staff at Thornton Hall were efficient and particularly attentive. So many names to remember but Faye, Lana, Aimee & Nathan stuck in my mind.Highly recommended to visit this lovely Hotel.Thornton Hall & SpaThornton HoughWirral Sandra Gee07854823877"Sandra Gee Connecting Businesses"
