MICROWAVE TIPS. Cooking vegetables in the microwave oven is really the best way, it retains nutrients and keeps them crunchy, however they sometimes are tasteless To avoid this just sprinkle the veg with some soy sauce before cooking and as well as colouring the vegetables it gives them a lovely zing.
Remember rice cooks brilliantly in the microwave, 8 ozs rice, I use Jasmine rice from Lidl, covered with 1 pint of boiling water. Cook uncovered , in a deep microwaveable bowl ,for 10 mins and you will have lovely fluffy rice with no sticky pan to wash!!
